Wedding Photographer Castle Murray House | Kristen + Barry
I’ve shot some beautiful weddings this year. Kristen and Barry’s Donegal wedding was probably the most international. They’ve travelled the globe together and most of Kristen’s family and friends seemed to have made the trip over from Canada. It felt like everyone was on holiday. That’s a great start to any wedding.
I loved the way the sea was always nearby. Kristen took a bunch of family and friends down for a swim first thing, then Barry headed down shortly afterwards, when the tide was high enough to allow for an aerial approach to the water. It all seemed like a perfect way to start the day. At least from where I was standing, in my nice dry clothes. The jetty in Portnoo is a favourite spot for Barry and Kristen so we returned later for a few more photos. No swimming this time, just the chance to soak up (ha!) the serene views.
I also loved the personal touches that Kristen and Barry made throughout the day. Castle Murray House gave them plenty of scope for making the place feel like home for the evening. So the late night sing-song round the piano seemed even more apt.
It was such a pleasure to shoot Kristen and Barry’s wedding. They’re made for each other and were so warm and accommodating. Here’s my edit …
