Rita + Richie | wedding photographer Horetown House

I smile to myself each time I think of this wedding. Actually the whole day was really a celebration of a wedding that had already happened. Rita and Richie had a small family wedding the day before and held this self-styled ceremony for their friends at the lovely Horetown House. It struck me as being a really warm and generous thing to do. Actually it’s perfectly in keeping with their personalities.

Picking a venue like Horetown House was a great move for Rita and Richie too. Couples marrying there have the freedom to have their day just the way they want it. Everything felt intimate and personal, with a palpable sense that everyone was delighted to be able to join in the celebration. Rita and Richie are understated and considerate people by nature, so this wasn’t a surprise. Nor was their decision to put on a great band for all their friends – whilst choosing to avoid the limelight that their own first dance might have brought.
