Kathryn and Seamus | wedding photography Donegal
Kathryn and Seamus got married last month in Derry. The Registrar’s office where their ceremony was held was just about big enough to hold Kathryn, Seamus, their immediate families, and the Registrar. I squeezed into a corner. Time almost seemed to stop during the short ceremony. To witness two people so clearly made for each other being married amongst just their very nearest and dearest was a huge privilege.
I loved spending the day with them. After their wedding ceremony, Kathryn and Seamus took a walk around the old city walls in the afternoon sunshine, before heading up into Inishowen to enjoy a meal with the rest of their families. Later on everyone moved to McGrory’s in Culdaff, a hub for the local music scene of which Kathryn and Seamus are both a big part. I kept taking photographs until sometime after midnight, but everyone else stayed up into the small hours singing and playing songs together.
